Product Description

Ceritinib is a second-generation anticancer medication indicated for the treatment of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is specifically used to treat patients who have developed resistance to, or are intolerant of, crizotinib. Ceritinib exerts an inhibitory effect on cells expressing EML4-ALK and NPM-ALK fusion proteins.

Dosage and Administration:

The recommended dosage of Ceritinib is 450 mg (three capsules) taken orally once daily. Ceritinib should be taken on an empty stomach.

Precautions for Taking Ceritinib:**

1) Ceritinib may cause adverse effects such as hepatotoxicity and bradycardia. Patients should undergo regular monitoring of liver function tests and heart rate.

2) Ceritinib is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment. Liver function should be closely monitored throughout the course of treatment; if necessary, liver-protective measures should be implemented.

3) Similar to crizotinib, Ceritinib must not be taken with grapefruit juice.

4) If severe side effects occur that result in intolerance, the daily dosage of Ceritinib may be adjusted.

5) If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible; however, if less than 12 hours remain before the next scheduled dose, the missed dose should be skipped. It is best to avoid missing doses whenever possible.

Side Effects:** The most common adverse reactions include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, weight loss, and elevated transaminase levels. Product Specifications
